Mangawhai Beach wedding

Hannah and Jesse had a lovely Friday afternoon ceremony in front of the Surf Club at Mangawhai Heads. Mangawhai is my local beach and it was so much fun to do some exploring there with these two. Even though I have swum, run, surfed and rock-hopped there countless times, it’s always great to see and enjoy this piece of paradise with a fresh perspective.

In a brilliant move they also the chose Mangawhai Surf Club for their reception and chose to have a 5:30pm ceremony. This is how you do a February wedding! The temperature had cooled down to a very comfortable low 20s, the sea breeze was fresh, the waves were pumping, surfers were out after work and the light was magical. It was a perfect expression of why my town is known as ‘Magical Mangawhai’.

Add to the gorgeous weather and stunning beach scenery, two genuinely amazing people that smiled and laughed the whole time and you’ve got a recipe for a fantastic day.

Congratulations Hannah and Jesse – you nailed it!
