Paul and Lindsay | Rendezvous Retreat, Tutukaka, Northland
Lindsay contacted my from Dubai with two requests: she needed her wedding in Tutukaka captured with a laid back, fun approach... and that there would be no photos with boats in the background, she hates boats.
So, after freaking out for a while about the amount of boats in the harbour in Tutukaka, the wedding day arrived and I finally got to meet Linsday and Paul, who are two seriously amazing people from NZ (him) and Canada (her) that live and work in Dubai.
The wedding was held at the Pacific Rendezvous Motel Resort on the cliffs of Tutukaka with the couple getting ready in rooms right next door to each other (which made my job easier). With no major hiccups (I do seem to remember a moment of stress when Paul realised he'd left his new shirt in Dubai...) they headed off to have their first-look, followed by photos in a nearby bay. I had scouted the location earlier in the year (with intense maritime awareness no guarantee zero sea vessels) and the overcast day and chop made for quite a moody setting. The ceremony and reception were held in the grounds of the Pacific Rendezvous Motel Resort and after being treated to a very moving haka by Paul's college friends, the couple danced into the night to music played by some more of their very talented mates.
Paul and Lindsay, thanks for an amazing day and I hope it's one you'll never forget :)
