Kara Kokopu Hall, Whangarei | Lauren and Lance
Lauren and Lance's wedding was set on a secluded private property out in the beautiful countryside of Maungatapere, just west of Whangarei. Lauren's dad has this meandering river, which runs though a glade on his land. It made the perfect spot on a roasting Northland day for these two love birds to tie the knot. Lance even built a bridge across the river to that all their loved ones could keep their feet from getting wet. What a guy!
Lauren obviously made a stunning bride, but what really struck me the most was just how serenely relaxed she was, while still having an absolute blast throughout the day. There are soooo many photos of Lauren completely cracking up, which was both adorable and infectious.
The super-fun and relaxed country reception was held at the Kara Kokopu Community Hall, just down the road. As the evening progressed and the sun was due to set, we wandered through some local fields for the couple to spend a few private moments together away from the all the action. Of course, being out in the country, we found some animals and I was pretty darn excited! Georgia the dog tagged along with us, happily snuggling with the couple, we got cosy with a a heard of cows and the beautiful bride even patted a foal... along with the stunning light, I was in heaven.
Congratulations L&L - you really nailed it - what a great wedding that I was so proud to be a part of and be able to share.
